Final preparations

Today is the last day in Sweden. Tomorrow we are off on the mystery tour.

Remember that little game with numbers in a frame? You move them around, trying to get them in sequence from 1-15. That is what we are doing to all the STUFF we are bringing along.

We agreed to shift to 40 weight oil on all the bikes and we are easining up the burdon of the side car machine by putting heavy things on the solos and bulky things in the side car, so that might eaven out the odds a bit. Poor Nimmer was running REALLY hot yesterday and pushed out oil everywhere. Hopefully this fixed the problem. And to make things even more sure, we REDEX-ed the engine. You probably do not know what that is, but no wonder. It is engine VODOO. You get a can of a mysterious fluid called REDEX. Really a fuel additive. Then you go somewhere where nobody will bother you and unscrew the carburettor and squirt raw REDEX stright into the venturi. To my great dissapointment, they have 'improved' the formula so the spectacular white billowing cloud of smoke failed to materialize from the exhaust, but the REDEX seemed to work anyhow. The general idea is to loosen up carbon buildup from the inside of the engine and toss it out from the exhaust. You then gun the bike when you ride back from your secluded spot, partly to blow out any loose stuff and partly to escape the law. Things are beginning to shape up and we are ready.

We do not know when we can publish the next posting. It really depends on Internet access, but in the mean time - Enjoy this bottle of delicious, cherry red, plastic contained, REDEX engine treatment.

How's about a "before" picture of the three of you all pink and shiney to compare to the photos of hairy ,grungey guys on the trail.

Sounds great, I am proud to be able to claim a test ride before Miles' transmission work.

I hope you all have a save adventure. If you are lucky, the engine gremlins will stay far in your rear-view...

Best,

-John

Y'all will be happy to know that when I shared my suggestions re:
Redex vs."Before" photos, Alice
stage whispered to Heidi: " That's
why they didn't invite any women."

Point taken.

Hope your first night was warm & dry.
